COLNE conceded an early goal after only seven minutes to give themselves a mountain to climb against high-flying Leek Town Louis Keenan’s free-kick from the left wing found the head of Oliver Harrison to open the scoring for Leek.
Colne created few chances as Leek bossed the first half and Reds striker Owen Watkinson was moved to the center of the Colne defence after an injury. As the second half began, Leek’s Aaron Opoku was brought down on a run in the Colne area for a penalty.
