BASFORD United’s return to the NPL ended in a draw against Morpeth Town.
Jack Thomas gave the Ambers the lead early on before Andrew Johnson levelled just before the break.
Jonathan Wafula then regained United’s lead, but Chris Reid’s strike just before the break ensured a share of the spoils.
Back in the league after a year in the Southern, Thomas took only seven minutes to drill home the opener after a mistake in the visiting ranks.
