TWO Harrison Beeden long throws set up Whitby Town for victory against Atherton Collieries.
It seemed apt that Whitby should use the aerial route as six RAF Falcons parachutists brought the matchball in as part of the town’s regatta.
In truth, the hosts played most of the better football. They took the lead on 17 minutes after a cagey opening.
