THIS astonishing game of football ended with a 96th minute equaliser as Morpeth Town recovered from 3-1 down with two minutes to go to earn a share of the spoils with Matlock Town.
Matlock were delighted with how the first half unfolded. They countered with menace and took the lead on nine minutes John Johnston’s close range finish.
Morpeth keeper Dan Lowson, who played a key role in the story of the game, denied Jonathon Margetts with a fine low stop on 23 minutes as Matlock threatened a second.
