MARCUS AT DOUBLE TO GIVE ROBINS THE SPOILS

MARCUS Cusani bagged a double as Ashton United were forced to work hard for victory at Whitby Town.
The Robins went ahead in the tenth minute when Cusani finished neatly from close range after Alex Byrne threaded him through.
They almost gifted their hosts a leveller, within four minutes as keeper Luke Simpson spilled Alfie Doherty’s cross but no-one in blue was following up.
Town went close again as Connor Simpson released Brad Fewster, whose goal-bound effort was blocked behind.
