■CLEETHORPES moved into the play-off zone with their third win in a week on a rainy East coast.
In truth, it was rough justice on visitors Ashington, who deserved a point.
The first-half was like a game of chess, with both sides probing for an opening which did not arrive. It ended in a stalemate.
Much better after the interval, and Town claimed a notable winning goal in the 52nd minute.
Will Annan dispossessed a defender and curled an exquisite curler into the corner of the net from around 20-yards.
