■ NEWTON Aycliffe showed spirit, character and determination to come from 1-0 down with ten men to defeat second place Hebburn Town.
Amar Purewal teed up Olly Martin for him to put the Hornets 1-0 upe. JD Costello was sent off for receiving a second yellow.
