ATHERSTONE Town hope that having to play two matches behind closed doors will prove a “deterrent” in the fight against discrimination, but admit the overall battle is a much tougher one to win.
The Adders received the punishment, which covered last weekend’s home match with Northwich Victoria and Saturday’s clash with Shifnal Town, in the wake of the abandonment of a Midland League Premier Division showdown with Highgate United last month.
