SPALDING’s title ambitions were dented after first-half goals from Desean Martin and Leo Stone helped Bedworth produce a gritty win. The 13th-placed hosts opened the scoring on the half-hour, much to the surprise of the travelling contingent. One man who wasn’t surprised was scorer Martin, who finished coolly to signal the early makings of this upset.
Just ten minutes after the first, Bedworth went one extra and forced the double through Stone.
