HIGH-FLYERS Hyde were eased out of their rhythm when home boss Ian Deakin told his young side: “You’re playing as if your shorts are on fire.”
The colourful half-time message saw the Derbyshire hosts take a calmer view of the challenge as the action swirled from end to end.
In added time, they nearly won it when an Ilkeston free-kick hit a Hyde defender, forcing keeper Jordan Eastham into a desperate save. Earlier he halted striker Tom Cursons with Lindon Meikle just failing to net the rebound.
