THERE was tension in the air at the MKM Stadium as 19th-placed Winterton played host to 18th-placed Ossett United.
Winterton had the games’ best chance in the opening stages, as Jaime Ture had a shot from the edge of the six-yard box saved after five minutes. 
As the first half progressed, both sides began to shore up defensively and a scrappy, low-quality affair ensued, resulting in just one goal-scoring opportunity, again for the hosts.
