LANCASHIRE won this Roses clash after turning the match on its head in the second half.
Whitby started the stronger, though, as Nathan Thomas’ floating fourth-minute cross was fired goalwards by Gary Liddle, only for the strike to be blocked on the line.
Moments later, Frankie Whelan fired wide and Jake Charles sliced wide.
Brig’s first chance came on ten minutes as Shane Bland saved low to his right from Billy Bould.
Bland then influenced matters at the other end, as his clearance picked out Alfie Doherty down the rig...
