HEBBURN edged past Mickleover thanks to a brace from the prolific Amar Purewal.
The newly-promoted side dispatched their hosts after surviving some first-half pressure.
Nathaniel Opoko and veteran Stuart Beavon caused trouble with their smart interplay, with the latter heading straight at keeper Kieran Hunter in the 19th minute.
Up the other end, Purewal started to stir into life, yet had the offside flag to contend with after a fine Joe Walton ball over the top.
