WORKINGTON ended a run of three successive defeats with their most convincing performance of the season.
Whitby arrived at Borough Park almost twoand-a-half hours before the game and all that waiting around seemed to get to them - they were lethargic from the outset and the home side dominated for long periods.
Workington went in front after seven minutes when Steven Rigg lifted the ball over the top for David Norris, the 43-year-old who has been coaxed out of retirement, who finished calmly past Shane Bland.
