RIGG COMES TO THE REDS’ RESCUE IN A FAB FINALE

STEVEN Rigg started and had the final say at Broadhurst Park, when his 89th-minute penalty secured a point for Workington at the death in their draw with FC United of Manchester.
The hosts should’ve broken the deadlock four minutes in after a sweeping move between Adam Le Fondre and Jordan Buckley saw the latter roll his strike beyond the far post.
They paid for that missed opportunity minutes later, when a free-kick was headed home by an unmarked Rigg.
