STRIKER Tom Cursons scored the only goal to aid high-flying Ilkeston’s promotion bid and admitted: “It was not the prettiest.”
But it was a joy for home fans who waited 88 minutes to overcome local rivals Mickleover in a match hampered by the wind.
Colin Daniel’s free-kick proved too hot to handle even for keeper Yusef Mersin, who was the visitors’ best player. In nipped Cursons to claim his 16th league goal.
