FC UNITED continued their revival under Mark Beesley with a hard-fought but deserved victory over Bamber Bridge, thanks in part to a superb performance from Michael Donohue.
The home side almost took the lead inside the first minute when Dylan Mottley-Henry fired wide from the angle and this set the tone for the rest of the half. FC United took the lead on seven minutes, when Mottley-Henry played in Donohue, who crossed for Jay Fitzmartin to curl the ball past ex-FC keeper Charlie Casper.
