WOODS NETS LATE WINNER TO HELP THE BLUES CLIMB

MICHAEL Woods netted a precious late winner to help Whitby Town overcome Leek Town and climb out of the relegation zone.
With neither side looking particularly threatening at 1-1, the winning goal came from a Blues counter-attack on 83 minutes.
The ball was squared to Woods and he fired low inside Dino Visser’s post.
Earlier, the first 35 minutes were best forgotten about. All the action in a scrappy first half came in the final ten minutes before the break.
