■ EMLEY opened the action for Steps 1-4, on Friday, by humbling NPL East newcomers Silsden.
Just 13 minutes had passed when Emley opened, with Laurence Sorhaindo drilling past Thomas Brown. Luke Brooksbank then came close to an equaliser, having being denied by Dec Lambton’s sturdy hands, as well as hitting Emley’s goal-frame in both halves. Midway through the first half, Emley doubled their lead when Sorhaindo slotted home from the penalty spot, while Lambton again showed safe hands, at the other end.
