Cleethorpes ride luck to seal draw

A FEISTY encounter ended with honours even on the east coast, as Cleethorpes and Bamber Bridge battled to a hard-fought 1-1 draw.
In the first meaningful action, Town goalkeeper Ollie Battersby pulled off a smart save to beat away a fierce drive from Jamie Allen. Responding for the hosts, Jack Vann fired a yard wide.
The visitors seized the initiative in the 27th minute. A fast-paced move down the right was finished off by Ewan Bange, who found the net via a deflection off a covering defender.
