BOOTLE were held to a draw by visitors Shifnal Town after a lively first half at the Berry Street Garage Stadium.
Shifnal struck first after eight minutes when Jack Loughran’s first-time effort from the edge of the box found the far corner.
Bootle levelled soon after when a Jack Lenehan corner bounced in off Anthony Miley, only for Roman Allen to restore Shifnal’s lead with a close-range finish after 38 minutes.
Before half-time, Ben Hodkinson headed in a superb Sean Smith cross to make it level.
