THE Stan put the disappointment of midweek defeat against Bridlington Town behind them as their West Yorkshire opponents home struggles continued.
Indeed, Garforth were dealt a blow when top scorer Luke Aldrich pulled up in the pre-match warm-up.
A forgettable first half was punctuated by a goal by Joe Shepherd after 14 minutes; smashing the ball home from close range following a corner kick.
Charlie Marshall could have equalised just before the break, but was denied by a fine close range save.
