■ MICKLEOVER extended their unbeaten run to six, after Archie White’s first-half strike proved decisive.
After Friend had fired a half-volley over the bar for the visitors in the second minute Dyer and Dales both went close for Mickleover.
But after White beat the defence in the 36th minute, no one managed to connect with the cross, but four minutes later he broke the deadlock.
It was a pacey opening to the second half by both sides, with Samples shooting just wide for Shepshed as the hour approached.
