■ CHASETOWN’S new manager Jamie Hawkins tasted victory in his first game in charge, completing an emphatic rout over Bootle.
The hosts opened the scoring through Sam Wilding, who neatly finished a well-worked team move and hammered home. Chasetown doubled their lead when Ty Webster skillfully sent in a dangerous cross that deflected kindly for Jack Langston. He almost added another his second, with a volley which glanced wide.
