■ DESPITE last week’s resounding wins, Mossley and Stafford were unable to break the deadlock, in an afternoon where defence would rule the headlines.
The first-half saw Mossley thrice come close. First through Obua Mugalula, with Arron Davies saving from close range, then Rio Alston forced Davies to push his shot onto the post before, finally, Isaac Graham rasped a shot destined for the bottom corner. Again, Davies, was on hand.
The second half saw the tables turn, as the visitors took their turn to create chances, but home stopper Fin Madi...
