RACING Club Warwick earned a hard-fought win against Mickleover at Townsend Meadow.
It was the visitors who were the brighter at the start and pushed for a goal in the early stages, with Harry Wood and Thabang Dube both forcing Warwick goalkeeper Sam Lomax into some impressive saves.
In a fiercely competitive encounter, nothing could separate the sides at half-time.
However, it was Warwick who eventually broke the deadlock in the 71st minute through forward Cameron Ebbutt’s composed finish.
