■ DIAMONDS made leaders Carlton hard for a hard-fought win.
Early sparring was marginally in the home side’s favour with a Webster header flying just wide. But it was Carlton who took the lead slightly against the run of play, Ashley Chambers shooting across goal after 33 minutes.
Diamonds responded quickly through Tyler Winters after 42 minutes, making space inside the box and firing home.
A well contested second half was finally broken open when Carlton re-took the lead after 68 minutes, Lamin Manneh stretching to slide home an excellent cross....
