In the battle to get into the play-off places in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division, Lichfield City came out on top over Corby Town to remain remain in a creditable fifth place.
The Staffordshire side are enjoying a fine debut season at Step 4 and look to be heading into Christmas sitting in the top five.
However, if Lichfield achieve anything this season, then this match won’t be one they will be quick to look back on as it wasn’t the greatest game.
