■ BOOTLE went nap as they slotted five past Newcastle Town to keep themselves in touching distance of the play-off places.
It took the hosts 19 minutes to break the deadlock when Jack Lenehan was able to drill the ball into the corner.
They doubled their lead four minutes later when Sam Hughes did well in the middle to find space. He teed up Ste Edmondson, whose curling shot nestled into the corner of the goal.
