BOTTOM side Workington had full-back Charlie Barnes sent off after just 18 minutes – but produced a battling performance in defeat against a strong Stockton side.
Despite playing with ten men for 72 minutes they showed plenty of spirit and only lost the game to a first-half penalty from Kevin Hayes.
Barnes was shown a straight red for a high tackle on Cameron Painter, who later had to leave the field with a gashed knee.
