■ TEN-man Bury saw out victory over Clitheroe thanks to goals either side of half-time from Rustam Stepans and Leo Graham.
In the Boxing Day clash, it was the visiting Blues who came close first, Veron Parny hitting the crossbar, while Harry Scarborough and Leon Creech both saw goal-bound shots saved.
The Shakers’ Callum Spooner hit the woodwork himself before Bobby Carroll was felled in the box by goalkeeper Zac Hadi and Stepans converted the resulting spot kick to give Bury the lead.
