■ NORTHUMBERLAND derby honours went in favour of Blyth Spartans as they ended an eight-match winless run with a slim away victory.
It came thanks to Jack Foal-le’s diving header from Michael Fowler’s cross three minutes into first-half stoppage time against an Ashington team forced to play all but five minutes of the game with only ten men after the early dismissal of centre-back Chris Read.
