■ FREDDY Garbutt’s hat-trick was a highlight as Witton Albion inflicted on Runcorn Linnets their heaviest home league defeat since 2010.
It saw boss Brad Cooke step down to be replaced by Micahel Ellison. Garbutt’s glancing header from Jim Lawrie’s corner midway through the opening period set Witton on course for a third successive win.
The striker, a former youth team player for Linnets, diverted Alfie Bairstow’s low cross into the net from close range to double the visitors’ lead.
