Cables are indebted to their supersub duo

PRESCOT CABLES 2 WHITBY TOWN 1

JOHN Murphy and Tony Donaldson came off the bench to score the goals that helped Prescot Cables come from behind to beat Whitby Town.
The Seasiders started much stronger and took the lead from a free-kick on 21 minutes. Layton Watts fired the ball into the bottom left corner.
Whitby looked to double their lead only a few minutes later but a shot from Watts rattled the post.
Cables tried to fire back but a headed effort from Jack Goodwin was tipped over the bar by Whitby keeper Shane Bland.
