EMLEY drew a blank at home as they lost and dropped out of the league’s top two.
The hosts went into the game holding second place ahead of Matlock Town, however, with the Gladiators winning 3-1 at Brighouse, they jumped above the Pewits on goal difference.
Hallam, meanwhile, are sitting nicely in midtable.
Emley started the game strongly, with Manasse Mampala playing in Bailey Thompson, however, his shot was blocked for a corner.
