A SINGLE goal from Alfie Henderson gave Morpeth victory over promotion candidates FC United of Manchester. However, the game was more comfortable for the hosts than the scoreline suggests.
Henderson got the game’s only goal after just eight minutes when the ball fell to him in the penalty area and he produced a composed, curling finish to place the ball into the corner of Dan Atherton’s goal. If it were not for Atherton in the FC United goal, it could have been a bigger margin in terms of the scoreline.
