A GRITTY performance from Congleton saw them pick up a much-needed three points at Darlaston.
Congleton had not won since before Christmas, although had picked up a couple of draws in that time.
The game’s only goal came after 21 minutes when Ethan Hartshorn was fouled just outside the box. Up stepped captain Darren Chadwick, whose low driving free-kick snuck past Stan Amos.
