NEWCASTLE Town battled hard to take a point against Clitheroe who controlled most of the game but will rue missed chances as the hosts made it three unbeaten games in a week to lift themselves out of the bottom four.
Clitheroe hit the bar with a header from Harry Scarborough, but the defence threw their bodies on the line to keep out the follow up.
Castle took the lead before the break when a Josh Bowden ball over the defence saw Tim Grice finish in style.
