But it could all have been different. In the first minute, Ilkeston striker Harvey Kirby-Moore saw a shot hit a post, roll across the face of goal and out. Leek keeper Dino Visser followed that up with some fine saves, the best from L’Varn Brandy.
At the other end, Leek soon prospered. Defender Cullen Meadowcroft headed home a corner although he was one of a crowd of eight players.
