LANCASTER CITY ended a run of five league games without a win when they secured a hard-fought win over Ashton United.
The home side started well and took the lead after nine minutes when Dom Lawson rose well to head home an excellent cross from Charlie Bailey.
They continued to pile on the pressure with an excellent save from Paul Cooper preventing Nic Evangelinos doubling their lead.
