■ DANNY Draper’s goal on the hour condemned league leaders Carlton Town to a narrow defeat at playoff chasers Wellingborough Town.
Draper fired the only goal into the corner of the net after a fine run and cross by Connor Tomlinson to separate two evenly matched sides.
Home goalkeeper Dean Snedker saved well from Ash Chambers in the first half while Felix Annan did likewise from a fierce Draper strike.
Carlton’s Ollie Clark saw his goalbound effort cleared off the line by Sam Warburton before Draper put the Doughboys ahead.
