JJ JOLT GIVES HOSTS POINT

JJ HOOPER’s 34-minute equaliser proved enough to keep Morpeth Town from bottom spot with a rare home draw against Ashton United.
As fellow strugglers Workington won at home against Rushall, one point was enough to keep Morpeth above them.
Callum Rowe went close for the hosts before Sean Newton gave Ashton the lead from the penalty spot on 31 minutes.
Barely five minutes later, Hooper equalised.
