A TIGHT and forgettable game played in poor conditions saw Aycliffe slip into the relegation zone as the visitors consolidated a mid-table position.
The hosts started the brighter of the two teams. Ferriby goalkeeper Ben Bottomley had a howler early in the first half as a pass to him completely went under his foot but no one from Aycliffe could take advantage.
Ferriby had a few early chances after this, including an acrobatic scorpion kick that Aycliffe’s Kyle Seymour easily dealt with.
