BLYTH Spartans moved up to 15th place with a hard-fought victory at Ossett.
In the first half, nothing could separate the two sides in a typical battle between two teams near the bottom of the table, both trying to cancel each other out.
Spartans got the breakthrough ten minutes before half-time. Jamie Clark flicked on Jordan Summerly’s cross at the near post, and Jack Foalle was there at the back post to fire home and give Spartans the lead just before the break.
