CONGLETON’s fight to stay up saw them pick up what could be an important point against Bootle.
In-form Tom Hampton came off the bench to scramble home with five minutes to go to move the Bears four points from safety. Bootle’s best chance came after 39 minutes as Ryan Beigan went around Dave Parton, but his touch was too heavy, and he couldn’t finish.
Beigan made amends for that miss as he got the opener after 69 minutes, bundling in Sam Hughes knockdown.
