PONTEFRACT Collieries cruised to victory in a West Yorkshire derby as braces from Niah Payne and Jack Wilson sealed an emphatic win over Brighouse Town.

The first half was competitive with both sides searching for control, but the deadlock was broken in fortunate fashion.

Payne saw the ball rebound off the post, the ball striking him and flying into the roof of the net.

Ponte doubled their lead just two minutes after the restart when Payne fi nished off a flowing move to grab his second of the afternoon.
