BATTLE OF THE ROBINS FINISHES IN STALEMATE

A MID-TABLE encounter between two teams with little to play for perhaps unsurprisingly resulted in a drab stalemate at a sunny Hurst Cross.
Louis White was handed a start for the home side with Jason Gilchrist back up front and two minutes in it was Gilchrist’s flick which saw Manesse Mampala dwell too long over his shot with the chance disappearing.
On eight minutes an Ilkeston attack ended with Tom Marshall firing just over.
At the other end, Dylan Cogill’s goalbound shot hit Marshall following a throw-in on the right.
