BELPER fell to an ■ embarassing defeat at home to nine-man Sutton.
Home keeper Kieran Preston got tangled up with the ball outside of his area and Reece Gibson rolled the ball into the net to hand the visitors the lead.
Ryan Edmunds received a second yellow on the half-hour to leave the visitors at a disadvantage.
Kevin Bastos came closest to an equaliser with an effort that hit the bar after 66 minutes, but the Royals defended heroically.
Skipper James Beresford was next to receive his marching orders for Sutton with 12 minutes left.
