A Marcus Gilpin brace ■ helped Loughborough Students upset nine-man AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
Loughborough took the lead in the 18th minute when a quick counter saw Gafar Abari’s effort deflected into the path of Zac Scutt who fired home.
Things got worse for the visitors when a coming together between Bruno Andrade and fellow teammate Tyler Winters saw both players shown a red.
