Anchors down rivals Trinity in top five race

JAKE PETITJEAN’S goal on the stroke of half-time secured Stockton Town a crucial win over play-off rivals Gainsborough Trinity.
Gainsborough headed into the game just inside the top five and a point ahead of Stockton.
The first half-hour of the game mostly passed without incident. Petitjean headed wide from close range. At the other end, George Hornshaw sliced a strike over from a presentable range.
